Buyer using 2 different accounts to bid on my auction
So the user names are to similar to be coincidence , first account has 1 feedback and the other over 2000 , the 1 feedback account was winning today with like £28 , the high feedback account outbid there other account to over £40 today , why are they doing this ?
They already where high bidder on the first account , auction ends Thursday , I'm thinking if any other suspicious bids , just end the auction and do buy it now

·2 weeks agoCancel the bids on the low feedback bidder then add them to the blocked bidders list and see what happens.

·2 weeks ago · EditedBoth of those are bidding on another item in the same category, though that in itself doesn't prove anything. If you've access to desktop go to their feedback profiles, classic view, and select feedback as a buyer and then look top right to see bid retractions. Are there any?

OP2 weeks agoThey don't have any bid retractions , so I guess that's good , it's still weird behaviour , I'll just call them out on it if they try any funny business

·2 weeks agoThat's a really good sign so I'm beginning to think that this all just be weird and coincidental. They are both bidding on one other auction in the video games category, but that isn't unusual either.
Personally I'd just let the auction run, but if you did feel that you want to cancel bids you should probably do so now and then block them. If you end the listing with bids you'll pay 5% of the bid price showing.

If so it is done to deter others from bidding. You will probably find the low feedback account will outbid their high feedback account as the auctions gets nearer the end. Shortly before the end of the auction they will cancel the bids from the winning low feedback account leaving them with a very good chance of picking up the auction at the opening bid price.

OP2 weeks agoYeah it's the same name but 1965 instead of 1970 after it , yeah I guess they have already deterred the previous second highest bidder , I'm thinking just block both accounts

·2 weeks agoYour decision obviously, but don't leave it too late. If you cancel within the last 24 hours of the auction finishing you would be charged fees on the highest cancelled bid.

·2 weeks agoI think fees are charged based on their being a bid, not how long the auction has to run.
