Bought an IWC that passed authentication and has now failed !?
Hi,
I bought an IWC last year that I decided to sell. It passed authentication when I bought it and has the card to show for it.
When I went to sell the same watch it got flagged and it held at the authenticator. I've tried calling eBay x5 times but each time I speak to them they just tell me it has been held and they will be in touch. That was 20, yes 20 days ago!? I am tearing my hair out and seriously considering legal action. What can I do?

·2 weeks agoHave a careful look at your listing.
Does the watch exactly match all of the details there?
For example, does it still have a full 2 year manufacturer's warranty?
The last picture on your original listing is a different watch.
If you have not had the watch back yet, chase the authenticator to return it so, if necessary, you can correct your listing and sell it again.

·2 weeks agoI think that last picture was reason enough for the authenticators to reject it for being not as described. I can't tell if it is the same watch or not but it is definitely a different strap to the one shown in the rest of the pictures.
@nuforce - have you spoken to eBay within the last 20 days?

·2 weeks agoThe authenticators don't just check items are authentic; they also check items are as described. Have you been given a specific reason for the watch being held?
