Sold an item buyer ( no names on here) won and paid for an item and paid in full , I thanked said buyer for purchase and gave them my collection details etc and heard nothing apart from messages to say why I am not answering so after sending numerous messages to buyer and getting no response I eventually got through to an agent ( that's a mission on it's own) " oh the buyer has had you blocked for over a year" this relates back to when the same buyer wanted to purchase same item and decided to pull out ( probably because I wasn't giving it away for 2 bob so obviously proceeded to block me ( boooohoooo ) I asked agent to inform buyer that they had blocked me and if they unblocked me they would be able to see all the details regarding collection etc etc " we cant do that as the buyer should be aware they have you blocked ..... I give up with eBay 22yrs I been here with 100% pos feedback, time for me to delete my acc I think and just use as guest acc for buying, deffo never selling on here again that's for sure ....... rant over

路6 days agoHave you considered it may be the buyer trying to wind you up, because of you declining his offers last year? Perhaps he has a little black book of people to seek revenge upon!
He'll probably open a Not Received dispute after a while in the attempt to give you a possible strike and bad feedback.

OP6 days agoLol yes ptobably, think I will be long gone from ebay by then, unfortunately ebay has become a cess pit of scams & abuse with a bias for buyers imo.

路6 days agoyes - they did. The buyer had blocked the OP. that was why the buyer was unable to view any messages from the OP.

Hi @lilly9890 , thanks for your post.
Buyers cannot block sellers on eBay, only sellers can block buyers. If the buyer is not answering, it'd be because the haven't seen said messages, or unfortunately, they might've lost interest on the item.
This wouldn't be related to you having them blocked, as I presume that you never blocked them, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to purchase the item. Also, we are not allowed to contact buyers or sellers in situations like this as we do not get involved in the transaction in that kind of way.

OP6 days agoNope it dosen't clear anything up .... buyer was interested in item lsst year and we conversed fine via messaging, buyer pulled out of deal , I removed item from sale and relisted it now, same buyer sent messages to me with offers to which I replied but they obviously wearn't getting them, buyer then purchased item to which I yet again replied etc re collection to which I replied, buyer then cancelled item for refund as they wearn't recieving my messages, I then spoke ( mission) to two ebay agents who stated that "I had been blocked therefore buyer can't see my messages" hope that clears ot up

路6 days ago 路 EditedIf the buyer added you to their blocked buyer list and selected the "don't allow blocked buyers to contact me" option in their buyer requirements they would never see any messages you subsequently sent to them. They can still purchase from you and can still message you; however, they would never see any messages that you sent to them.
The block list is a bit daft in that the only thing it actually prevents is the blocked user from purchasing from you. You're the seller in this situation so as you haven't blocked the buyer they were perfectly able to purchase from you and send you messages despite them having added you to their blocked buyer list. You just wouldn't be able to purchase anything from them nor would they ever see any messages that you sent to them.
I would suggest adding the user to your blocked buyer list to prevent them from making any further purchases from you.

OP6 days agoAlso after reading your response thought better I check my blocked list, I have 1 person blocked on my list and that's not this buyer, crickey I had a buyr a few months back hoping I had a sloe painful death 馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ keyboard warriors eh ....

So if a buyer blocks another user - this would stop that user from buying from the buyer and messaging the buyer - but I don't think it would stop the blocker from buying from the blocked user.
