Auction, Crafting Tool Lot removed based on AI detection "Knife policy" violation without any knifes or bladed item listed under ebay's Restricted item policy. In my first try to list it, there were scissors and crafting knifes without blades, just plain metal handles, ok I removed it as suggested in ebay's response to an appeal, relisted again without it, the auction was removed again.The appeal was actually turned down, without any explanation what item, the suggestion is to use 18+ restricted item postage option, which is not actually available with Simply Delivery to choose, not even shown on ebay auction creation page. (I know the ebay's solution, change small or medium package to a large letter, then Customized postage appears, then appropriate services available but it's not covered by ebay?)Customer Support agents (not just a one agent) unable to state what item (looking at the auction pictures) actually caused the auction removal.As the more than 20 years ebay user, I need to know the rules they play, just for my knowledge by the way, what I can or can not list in my next auction, should I guess what can posses a real danger to a public or maybe ebay will be able to state it.My guess (why should I) is the side cutters or scriber, ebay agent's guess is, the tweezers?! Unfortunately, none of them listed under ebay's restricted items policy that requires 18+ age verification to be added but I'm not surprised that's been removed by AI detection, of course there is no explanation from a real human employers but customer support does not reply to my query at all.Anything that is sharp tipped, as nails, screws, tweezers, pencils or bare the sign of a cutting edge, as pliers, pencil sharpeners, metal rules falling under ebay's category of restricted? Last time I cut my finger with a plain piece of paper, should it be restricted too?Ebay customer support agents were appealing to UK Knifes law but UK knife laws distinguish between three categories: knives you cannot own, knives you can own but cannot carry publicly without good reason, and knives you can carry anywhere.in the UK, it is illegal to carry most knives in public without a "good reason"sell most knives or any weapons to anyone under the age of 18The exception to these 2 rules are folding pocketknives that:have a cutting edge no longer than 3 inchesare not lock knives (they do not have a button, spring or catch that you have to use to fold the knife) So how it's all related to that small crafting bits or tools with 1cm or less sharp edge that we are trying to sell here? Does ebay make it's own rules, interpretating UK law in their , ebay's own way or simply using a blanket policy, then it should be stated and all, all possible items should be listed under ebay's policy that we, as ebay users should follow then.
