Any Issues Shipping to the USA Right Now?
Summary: marnotom! from Canada discusses the impact of the new enforcement of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations on shipping products to the USA. They mention delays and additional hurdles at shipping hubs and question if UK sellers are experiencing similar challenges. They refer to past discussions about the Global Shipping Program (GSP) and provide a link to eBay information on the CPSC for further details.
At least, any more issues than usual?
Greetings from Canada. The new enforcement of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations for general use products and products intended for children has shaken up sales from here to the USA. We're finding that items are dead-ending at the eIS (our version of the GSP) hub and items shipped through other carriers are having to go through all sorts of additional hoops if they're being accepted at all.
However, I've only been able to find one recent post on these forums that suggests that UK sellers might be having similar issues, which I find odd because I remember loads of posts from sellers using the GSP who were posting that it wasn't working for them shortly after the US de minimis was eliminated at the end of last August.
Any insights into what's going on on your end? Here's some eBay info on the CPSC if you require it:
