Advice on selling Amiga Computer games.
A loft clearance has thrown up a box of Commodore Amiga Games which I'd like to sell.
I've checked current Ebay listings and if the prices are realistic it seems my games could be worth a few quid.
Unfortunately I'm unable to test them though I know they were all fine when we packed them away about 30 years ago.
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's experienced in this area to see what the best plan for selling.

·1 month agoWhat size are the disks; are they 3.5"?
You can buy a Greseweazel adapter and an old (working) 3.5" PC floppy drive - this will allow you to read the disks from a PC/laptop (the Greaseweazel adapter has a USB interface). You could then use Amiga emulation software (there are many free ones) to check the games play.

·1 month agoDepending on the amounts involved, I might be tempted to buy a second hand console to test the games on. You could then re-sell the console once you have sold all the games. I don't think there's much more you can do, but at least you could state in your listings that the games have been tested, and works. This may also help you get higher bids. There will always be that buyer who claims it's not working, but if you know it is, you just accept the return, re-test it, and re-list it.

OP1 month agoThanks for that. The snag is that connecting an Amiga to a present day TV isn't straightforward. I had thought of trying to get in touch with any local "enthusiast" Amiga group where I might be able to get help from members.
