Would be nice if Simple Delivery worked consistently
Summary: annemann-2009 shared a frustration with eBay and Royal Mail, stating that Royal Mail failed to bring labels for two out of five items booked for pickup, despite booking them simultaneously. The problem led to repetitive transactions for buyers, and annemann-2009 expressed dissatisfaction with eBay's advice to refund and relist. cheekychippy210 commented on needing a printer for eBay transactions, while sml192 suggested a potential issue with Royal Mail's Click & Collect service, prompting annemann-2009 to check the delivery details.
I only use royal mail. Cos of my set up, not having a printer. I want them to bring a label. They bought 3 out of the 5 I booked yesterday. I did them all at the same time on a desktop via eBay.
So why did they bring only 3?
The postie said that's all he was given and proved it on his device etc
Whenever I ask eBay I get told to refund, relist and get them to buy it again.
This time, the two that didn't get picked up were two buyers who had already had to rebuy them.
So now I've got to tell the same thing again?! Crazy. eBay need to do better. As there's obviously a bug between their site and royal mail.

·1 month agoDid the buyers of the 2 that failed select Royal Mail Click & Collect rather than delivery to their home? The Royal Mail click and collect service is a new addition to Simple Delivery and there is currently an issue with Royal Mail not being instructed to bring a label for those items.
(If they were Click & Collect then they will show as 'Local Collection service via Royal Mail' rather than 'Standard tracked delivery via Royal Mail''.)

OP1 month agoWell. It's a service they are supposed to provide, so... 🤷♂️ They need to be consistent.
