Unnecessary high listing or postal charges
Hi, I sell various items occasionally so Simple Delivery seems Simple haha.. When sending something like a christmas card etc.. to someone it sometimes may be too thick for the cheapest post. This may only be less than 0.5 mm too thick for example. So, would I be charged for this oversized item or possibly refusing this item due to extra costs. Sometime I post some items using thin heavier card as this provides enough protection for the item.
However, I am therefore worried about unnecessary costs in post as the item may be borderline size between a cheap and expensive costs in postage. An "Arcing of the card may add maybe 1 mm to the thickness.
Sometimes the extra postage costs may offput someone from buying my item.
As I maybe sending a letter to someone but for example if I fold the letter once or twice this will, of course, result in a thicker letter. This could be because of reducing a A4 size to a A 6 , smaller size but same weight. these dimensions do change choice of postage costs.
Ebay automated helpline ends up going around in circles and there is little chance of direct contact with staff.
I am also having problems with listing fees for non-sale items or 35 pence ,, not a fortune, but unexpected charges are putting me off listing again for non-sale items
but I shall ask in another post to save time for anyone giving me an answer
Thanks for looking
