Simple delivery lost package / item as seller royal mail
Summary: jawil_636998 shared their experience of selling an item with simple delivery, which was lost by the postal service. After refunding the buyer, they were informed by the postal service that a refund could not be issued because the shipping label was purchased through an online platform. This participant expressed frustration with the difficulties in contacting the platform for support, as previous helpful communication channels have been replaced by automated systems.
Hi there ,
I sold an item under simple delivery. Package was lost by royal mail , I refunded the buyer.
Royal mail said they can't refund me something to do with ebays delivery system? and that ebay purchased the label?.. so they are unable to refund me?.
How do I get my refund back on a lost package?
It's now hard to contact eBay with errors. Taken away the Facebook messenger services which where really helpful and now everything is botted up with AI crap etc.

·6 days agoWith Simple Delivery if a buyer opens a "not received" case (or damaged in transit) ebay will issue the refund themselves and the seller keeps the original payment. Now you've refunded upfront there's nothing else you can do.
