Simple Delivery - items combined and sent on one label, I can't mark second order despatched
Summary: tsdragon63 seeks advice on handling an issue with Simple Delivery, where a customer was overcharged for postage. They combined two orders into one shipment using a single label, and eBay flags the order as overdue, preventing it from being marked as dispatched. **peaseblossom** suggests printing a prepaid label for the second item, which will remain unused and refunded to the buyer, potentially resolving the issue.
Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advice.
I have a lovely customer who placed two orders on the same day each with multiple items - Simple Delivery did it's thing and grossly over charged her postage.
It did one order of 6 pieces of fabric as a medium parcel of up to 10kg and charged her £11.05 (the cost of the fabric was only £14) and the second order was another 6 pieces of fabric at £18 and postage charge was £5.54.
(I can't for the life of me understand how they work this out)
So I sent all 12 pieces of fabric in one parcel which weighed 1.2kg and used one of the Simple Delivery labels.
Now eBay is constantly telling me the order is overdue.
I have tried to mark it as despatched by when I try I get the message "The selected order(s) aren't eligible for this action"
What else can I do?
Thanks

·2 weeks agoYou can mark dispatched by clicking on Get prepaid label > Print label for the second item. The label will remain unused and the cost will be automatically refunded to the buyer in 30 days (assuming they paid for it). Payment for that item may be held for 14 days.

OP2 weeks agoThank you, I was reluctant to print the label in case that counted as being used but I suppose if it never goes into the couriers system it isn't used 🤔- I do wish there was a manual for all these odd things, I seem to spend forever trying to find answers.
Thanks again peaseblossom
