Simple delivery is a terrible scam, ebay should be ashamed of their heavy handed rail roading of their users. How can they think its a good idea to force people to only use their service? Oooooo they're making lots of money off sellers, yeah thatd do it.
I'm switching to vinted. I wish id know about this scam before listing and selling my items. I'm torn between cancelling all of the sales and moving to vinted or sucking it up as I've already invested time and effort into creating the listings.
I wish they'd explicitly stated in huge letters that we are going to rip you off if you proceed to use our service, at the point where I was generating the listing.

·1 month agoI remember the days when ebay charged per item listed, seller commission and other add ons. Quartely or monthly, cant remember that bit, bills in those days could be £10 to £30 depending on sales. If the item did not sell some fees still applied.
Today, I can see no fees in my account. For private sellers its free.
The platform is global and where else can you advertise your goods like that?
Simple delivery, for me is perfect, labels printed, goods sold fully tracked and fully protected if lost meaning no time wasted in contacting couriers! The few quid added to buyer or posting pays for the platform. The buyer can choose to buy or not.
would you prefer to pay per listing, which was based on price and is why many started at 99p with extortioniate posting?

Whether ebay Simple Delivery is worse would be the debate - but the system is identical (though with Vinted there aren't even any opt out categories)
