Sellers return address incorrect on postage label
Hello
I have recently sold an item (first time in a long time). I am about to post the item using Royal Mail Tracked. When I have generated the label, it shows my address (the 'return to' address) incorrect. I have now updated my address on my ebay account. However, I cannot generate a further postage label to show my correct address. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

OP1 month agoThanks so much everyone. They certainly don't make it 'Simple' - It's frustrating, but I want to make sure that return address is correct, because it would be just my luck.... and the item is of high value.
I've contacted ebay, so we'll see. I've updated the buyer too.

·1 month agoTo get the right address on there you'd have to cancel/refund the transaction with buyer's agreement and relist for them to buy again. If it's not a expensive item personally I would change it manually but it's up to you.

OP1 month ago · EditedIt is an expensive item. I don't want to inconvenience the buyer with cancel/refund etc., to be honest. Is there any other way you can think of? I've tried to find a way of contacting ebay by chat etc, but just keep going around in circles. Thanks for your help btw.

·1 month agoThe alternative is to buy your own postage outside of ebay. However you cannot add a new tracking number. All you can do is message the buyer with the new tracking details. You would still be able to add the new number to a "Not received" case if the buyer opened one though.

·1 month agoWhat we don't know is whether the address used on any return label issued by ebay in the event of a claim by your buyer, would be the old or new one. That's where the risk lies for you.
You could just sticker over the wrong address on the label, but that won't help in a case situation.

·1 month agoThe return address used on Simple Delivery labels is, for some reason. actually the address specified for 'Despatch address' in account settings rather than the one specified for 'Return address'.
