I am after some advice please
I have recently sold a quantity of magazines. I opted to send them by Simple Delivery but I feel the amount I suggested for Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery is not enough. This has already been paid by the Buyer. I have also printed off the Postage label.
Is it possible for me to pay the extra amount when I take it to the Post Office? Obviously I am going to stand the extra cost as it was my error.

·2 weeks agoWhy to you say "but I feel the amount I suggested for Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery is not enough"? Either it was enough or it wasn't: it is a fact, not a feeling. It is not your fault that the postage options ARE A HORRIBLE MESS AND VERY CONFUSING.

It was my error. The weight and cost of sending the magazines is more than the amount I put on the item listing. I’d just like to do the right thing and try and correct my error. It seems like I’ll just have to get an Admin fine from eBay. I don’t really want to go through the rigmarole of cancelling the sale and then relisting to the Buyer etc.

·2 weeks agoTo add to the excellent advice already given, if you aren't able to change the label size, and if you didn't select the size recommended by eBay when listing, you will still be able to use the existing label if you wish. It will still be accepted by the carrier but eBay may charge the difference in postage plus a £1 admin fee if it is identified as being overweight by the carrier at all.

I think I’ll go down the route you suggested. I’m happy to pay the extra plus an Admin fee. It was my error after all.

·2 weeks ago · EditedYou may be able to change size and/or weight of the label. Not sure if it's possible once youv'e printed a label but have a go. Click on Get another label and under the heading Package details click on the pencil icon and you should get: "No extra charge. Changing your package size won’t cost you anything." Then use the dropdown menu to change dimension or weight.
If you can't do that ebay say if you used the recommended parcel size when listing your item and it exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service.
If you didn't use the recommended parcel size and your item is exceeding the maximum size and/or weight of the label you cannot top-up the simple delivery label. You should cancel/refund the transaction with the buyer's agreement and relist with correct postage for them to buy again and to keep it on ebay.
Or you can pay for the whole postage yourself without cancelling but the tracking would not be on ebay and there is no way of changing it.

It says that I can only use one label for this transaction so the new label option is out.
