We are aware that some Royal Mail offices are facing delays. However, we haven't announced that we will protecting/covering certain transactions nor impacted areas, so we would appreciate if you didn't spread misinformation to prevent any confusion until we announce it officially.
While we do take actions in exceptional circumstances like we have in the past with storms, or other issues that may impact our sellers, this one might be protected as well. However, we haven't confirmed nor announced this, and if we do, we will put up an announcement and impacted sellers/areas will be notified via email as well.

OP3 weeks agoTo mitigate late delivery defects would help if the ebay system accepted the following.
An Item sent by royal mail on time collected and scanned at the sellers door and an email receipt from royal mail 30 seconds later confirming it, this does NOT count as dispatched by ebay.
An Item sent by royal mail on time taken to a Post Office counter and scanned by a human and issued with a printed certificate of posting and an email receipt from royal mail 30 seconds later, this does NOT count as dispatched by ebay.
Even though Royal Mail regulations set by the government state its not legal for a seller to retrieve an item of mail once its handed to royal mail, ebay only counts it as dispatched once its scanned at a mail centre which can be a few days later.
