Marked as delivered but nothing received

So just had a ebay item apparently delivered via royal mail , however i have received nothing. Looking at royal mall proof of delivery its a poor picture of a letterbox that is wall mounted and clearly not mine (my letterbox is within the front door) Problem i have is where do i go from here ? if i click not received automation says marked as delivered . Looking to speak with someone i could not get past ai. any help would be appreciated. Had this happen about 10 years ago and ebay was a lot different then and was sorted our easily, now not so easy

·1 week agoRoyal mail are very bad at pretending to have made delivery. It happened to me so often earlier this year that I complained to the CEO of royal mail. It took a while but eventually it was admitted the postman had not attempted delivery. Complain to royal mail!

OP1 week agoDone that was told to get sender to make a claim. Not that easy seller not responding period.

OP1 week agoAppreciate your reply. i can't even get that far as to converse with anyone so thinking exactly what you have said . Seems like its purposely made difficult , in other words if its marked delivered its down to you to bear the cost, makes no difference if its stolen or delivered to the wrong address , so much for money back guarantee (which we all pay for) supposably covering non-arrival
