Late shipment % Ebay Policy

Just a quick heads up on the late shipment metrics and the related ebay policy.
I noticed my late shipment rate had dropped from 0% so I looked to find what I had got wrong after over 20 years, always happy to learn and improve to make ebay a safe community and here is what I ebay have told me.
I packed an order on time and arranged a royal mail collection, the collection was 3 days before the due shipping date.
The next day a royal mail red van with logos on it pulled up outside my house and my local post person who lives 300 meters away from me knocked on my door, I hand he him my parcel and he him scanned it with his royal mail issued PDA and the PDA beeped and as per usual he him showed me on the screen the item had been collected, he took the parcel and put in the his red royal mail van and drove off. I closed my front door and checked my email on my laptop and got an email from royal mail saying "We've successfully completed your collection request" and "Please keep this email as proof of postage." with the tracking number which i crossed checked with my paper and digital records to make sure it was all correct, then I checked the royal mail website to make sure it had been collected and that confirmed it had been collected, I logged into ebay and uploaded the tracking number, ebay authenticated the tracking number and added it to the order.
Upon checking my defect rate was down I appealed the defect but it was refused so I did an online chat and discovered the mistake I had made, even though the item has been collected by royal mail, scanned by royal mail, I had received an email from royal mail stating they had collected, uploaded the tracking to ebay and ebay had authenticated the tracking that does NOT mean the item has been dispatched, in the case of this item ebay policy says that even though royal mail had the item dispatch did not take place until the item got to the royal mail centre at London Heathrow Airport 125 miles away from my front door.

I can see that the item was collected on 10 June but this defect is given when item is shipped late

As I get most of my item collected even though they are collected on time it does not mean anything so I will have to extend my dispatch times, the screenshot below shows the collection
