Item Under £10 & 100g – Why Is Simple Delivery My Only Option?

I sell small and lightweight stationery items, generally under 100g and under £10.
I have previously sold the exact same item on eBay using Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter. However, when I recently used “Sell Similar” to list the same item again, I found that Simple Delivery is now the only postage option available.
Nothing about the item has changed — it is the same product, same size, same weight and same selling price. I can no longer select Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter or enter my own custom postage service.
For these small, low-value items, Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter was much more suitable and economical.
Has anyone else experienced this recently? Is this due to a change in eBay’s Simple Delivery policy, or is there still a legitimate way to select Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter for this type of listing?
Any advice from other sellers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

·1 month ago · EditedSImple change for you - switch to a business seller account. You'll legitimately be able to use Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter, amongst other legitimate things.
