Item showed as Ready for Delivery on Friday last week, but appears not to have been delivered | Postage

I sold an item to a buyer last week. The postage option selected was Royal Mail Tracked 48. I used Simple Delivery as I do ever since it was introduced by Ebay. I dispatched it on the 4th of March. When I checked the tracking number for the parcel on the Royal Mail website, it was showing as Ready for Delivery on Friday 6th March. It was received by the delivery office in the buyer's hometown on that day. The tracking has not since updated as of Monday 9th March. I am confused as to how an item would reach the buyer's postcode but not actually be delivered. That is what seems to have occurred. As of the time I am posting this, the buyer has not opened a not received case, but I am sure they will soon if they haven't received the item. Should I do anything at this point?
