Insufficient post insurance with ebay fullfilment/labels

Now that Ebay does all it can to prevent sellers posting without using the Ebay system, how are we supposed to get full value insurance for high value items such as gold coins or high end products if we use the ebay labels without contacting buyers to get their full address?
Buyers addresses are now deliberately hidden to make it harder to post with sufficient cover .
This seems to have been missed on seller protection.
Also lager items cannot be posted using ebay labels as the ebay labels / postage does not allow large items despit being forced on us. (EG: Bike hard case)

my experience with royal mail and compensation for lost goods put me off using them. I was asked for proof of purchase, original receipt. That was many years ago and receipt not kept so all i got was a book of stamps.
Value, these will always differ when it comes to insurance. People always over value items, insurers, from exeperience, arrive at a far lesser value!

·3 weeks agoDont understand the bit about address! You dont say if it was simple delivery or custom postage? Custom postage not offered to all, I dont have it nor would I use it!

·3 weeks agoIf simple delivery applies then that offers coverage up to £750 in the event of loss or damage.
I thought that bullion was exempt from simple delivery though
