A local family member recently sold an item on her eBay account and the buyer selected 'InPost' as the postal carrier, she printed the QR code for the label as instructed and went to her local Post Office but they told her to place it in the InPost locker machine behind the Post Office. She informed me that she scanned the parcel label QR code on the InPost lockers camera and then selected the appropriate size for the parcel (smallest I assume) and then one of the doors on the compartments...

I would wait. If the buyer opens a "not received" case she can then contact ebay direct about it and if possible send them the photo. It's possible that it's on its way to the buyer or even arrived, without the tracking ever updating. So probably best to do nothing until she hears from the buyer.
