Free click and collect
It’s great that eBay are offering free click and collect on fashion items under £20 but why on earth isn’t it showing to buyers? I’ve updated most of my eligible listing now but from what I can see a buyer doesn’t see that it’s free until they make a purchase unless I’m missing something? It would certainly be an incentive to me to save a few pounds especially on lower priced items. It seems to be a bit of a pointless promotion as it stands.

·2 weeks ago · EditedWhile browsing eBay listings, I have noticed that some listings display “Free Click & Collect” directly in the search results, whereas most listings, including my own, do not show this option until the Buy It Now button is clicked. When you open one of the listings that displays Free Click & Collect, there are then two clearly visible purchasing options: Free Click & Collect or standard delivery, which is usually around £2.94. This appears to be different from the way most listings, including mine, are displayed, where Click & Collect is not shown prominently in the search results.
I requested an ebay call back 3 times to try and find out why this is so and how do i make MY listing display the Free option.
Each time they don't seem to understand, are of no help and have disconnected the call.
The promotion i was looking forward to is very dissapointing.

·2 weeks agoI agree with you - i just want to sell small under £5 items without this promption but it wont let me pass the postage bit. Postage still saying click n collect and buy it now. I dont want to do any of these. Does anyonecknow hkwxto by- pass this so that buyer still pays for postage and its on auction

·3 weeks agoI agree. I too thought I would have sold something but unless a buyer was going to buy it anyway the promotion isn't advertised. I am yet to see any adverts for it.

·3 weeks agoThis has been exactly my frustration. I sell lots of low value items between 1 and 3 pounds and I know buyers are put off purchasing them because the postage cost is more than the actual item.
I was really looking forward to this promo to help me sell some of those items but it’s never going to work when the buyer can not see it’s free delivery on the actual listing.
As far as they are aware there is a postage charge to pay as stated on the listing. This is never going to encourage sales.
