Extra time delay on reporting non arrival of items
Summary: desertrose2309 expresses frustration with eBay's policy of automatically delaying by an additional week the process of addressing non-arrival or delayed deliveries. They argue that expected delivery dates should be upheld and suggest that late delivery should qualify for refunds. desertrose2309 criticizes third-party delivery agents, particularly Evri, and advocates for allowing sellers more control over their shipping choices, specifically preferring Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
Why are Ebay now automatically delaying by a extra week with dealing with non arrival or delayed deliveries on Ebay Simple Delivery when a buyer reports a item not arrived. When you pay for a postage service and you have a expected date of delivery that should be upheld and if that passes and the tracking has no info. they should refund at least for late delivery. Why do customers have to pay for a delivery service that is not fit for purpose especially when sellers seem to use Evri who are useless and other third party delivery agents. Ebay should go back to the previous system letting sellers use directly tracked services that they can control and have the choice of using Royal Mail. Us as a seller only use Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
