eIS vs GSP
Change from GSP to eIS
Just wondering what you guys think about the new international shipping system eBay has introduced a few days ago.
To my surprise, buyers can opt out of it if they wish to deal with customs themselves, leaving the seller to pay for international postage and even deal with it if something goes wrong.
Not an improvement in my opinion.
Ant thoughts ?

·1 month agoI though with EIS the buyer would be offered the cheapest option, the sellers own shipping or EIS.

·1 month agoIf the seller has opted in to eIS and also provides their own shipping method then the buyer will be shown both options on the listing, cheapest first, and will be able to choose either option.

·1 month ago · EditedI think you are getting confused here. Buyers can't opt out of eIS but they can choose for most items whether to pay the customs charges at checkout or to defer to paying on delivery. Either way it is still being shipped by eIS and, therefore, makes no difference to the seller.
