Click and collect
I've just listed an item for sale and notice that it is showing the option to click and collect. In my selling preferences I am showing as NOT opted in for click and collect and I don't want to offer this option. How can I remove it?

·2 weeks ago · Editedclick and collect goes to a dedicated store, chosen by buyer because it suits their needs. It reduces the chances of items being stolen from doorsteps and at the shop there is always staff to take delivery of parcel. If that option is removed it may put customers off.

·2 weeks ago · EditedIt's your postage preferences you have to remove it from. My eBay > Account tab > Selling > Postage prefs. You would have to end the listing via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your selling list, change your prefs and then relist.
But Click & Collect is the same as posting to buyer as far as the seller is concerned. It just means the address supplied via ebay is for a shop nominated by the buyer to collect from. Not to be confused with Collection by buyer.

·2 weeks agoSorry you are partly incorrect on this.
There are two click and collect mechanisms (to add to confusion)
the click and collect you can opt out of in preferences is linked to listings that use custom delivery.
The other is on simple delivery, which this seller is using. Click and collect is now offered on any simple delivery listing, you can’t opt out.
As you state correctly, it doesn’t really matter as it’s still just a delivery address at the end of the day.
