Buyer has received package, but can't mark it as delivered...
Summary: nick-is-a-hotmail is facing an issue where they sent an item to a buyer who confirmed delivery, but due to not using eBay's prepaid label, the system doesn't recognize it as sent. tressygirl advises that no new tracking can be added, and suggests messaging the buyer with tracking details. jonatjonatjonat mentions that payment will be delayed, typically for 14 days after the estimated delivery date. The discussion highlights challenges in the process due to not using the platform's label.
Hello...
I recently sent a sold item, whcih the buyer has confirmed was delivered today. However, he's unable to click that the item has been received....
I had to agree to eBay's prepaid label, in order to get the buyer's full postal address, however, the prepaid label wouldn't have been sufficient to cover the real post cost. I therefore, sent the package directly from the Post Office, and gave the buyer a picture of the tracking receipt/number. He has confirmed that he's got it, but because I didn't use the pre-paid label, eBay's system seem s to think it's not even been sent. WTAF..??
How am I able to get the buyer to confirm the delivery, so I can get paid..?? Any help appreciated. This is rediculous. :-)

·1 week agoYou can’t. If you didn’t use the simple delivery label there will be a delay in payment. Normally 14 days after the last estimated delivery day.

·1 week agoYou cannot now add any new tracking, eBay suggest sending the buyer a message with those tracking details. If a case is opened later for item not received, you will be able to add those tracking details.
There is nothing the buyer can do to mark this as received that will facilitate a faster payout for you, and your payout may be held now for 14 days.
A refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:
If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
