I am feeling severely aggrieved. It's happening too often now:
Example 1:
£14 LP listed with £2.94 P&P....... Charged £3.60 "Buyer chose" postage...I use professional mailers and stiffeners, costing a fortune nowadays, a cost which I absorb
Example 2:
£15 CD listed with £2.72 Buyer chose" P&P.....Charged £3.10 postage, again "
Down nearly £1 on 2 orders
If the buyer choses a more expensive service than the one advertised, they should pay the extra themselves, surley???
Also, what is this nonsense about buyer paid, but wait to post.......Just another sneaky way Ebay have devised to keep YOUR cash in THEIR bank account

·1 week agoBuyers can only choose from the postage options on your listing but ebay will try and charge you more if you buy postage through them.
The wording of Ebay's communiction is confusing if not actually wrong.

·1 week agois custom postage a service offered to you on your account?Not all users have the service. If so, do you use it? I dont have it offered, nor would I use it as the issue is when items go missing in the post as the battle for compo is the sellers. Some may like wasting their time, I have better things to do with mine. RM require original proof of purchase for goods sold to prove seller is the owner and has not just bought at boot sale to resell. Some of your listing are offering express delivery at around a pound over. For me simple delivery is a no brainer, goods fully tracked, tracking details auto inputed, labels generated and if item lost, ebay sort it out. I never offer free postage, buyer pays all the time. I tend to state that now in adverts at top adding combined postage via basket. Of the new wait to send feature, to me, its pathetic. Item sold yesterday and due to this missed the collection slot. Bank hoilday so chap wont get this now to Tuesday on. Of that item it had completely vanished from my account during that window, not in all orders, not in sold and not in waiting to despatch. I use pc, windows 10 and firefox which I know pages differ from those using chrome.

·1 week agoWithout knowing the listing - its hard to see whats happened. But at a guess...
Most of your listings appear to be Simple Delivery - you get provided a label by ebay and use it. In some cases you are listing with buyer pays, in other cases, its free delivery and you will be charged for the label.
You have some sold listings with custom postage. Here, you list with the postage cost you want, buyer pays and you get the funds to use to buy postage. Doesn't have to be from ebay.
But if you do buy from ebay - ebay suggests what it believes to be the most appropriate postage method. This in general is often higher than the postage charge you listed with.
Buyer paid but wait to post is a new feature they have added which is useful if you have someone bidding on multiple auctions and helps merge orders. But it is optional - the seller can post immediately.
