Absolute shambles trying to return an item. Shame on you, EBay!
Summary: jojomo0 shared their frustrating experience trying to return an item through eBay. They encountered issues at multiple points: the absence of a QR code, difficulties printing the return label, and challenges with Royal Mail's process. After several unsuccessful attempts to resolve the situation, including walks to various locations and interactions with multiple services, they are still facing problems and plan to visit the post office again.
1. EBay sent return label . There was no QR code. Phoned EBay who said there was no QR code for this item. Said I could drop at PO or get Royal Mail pick up at home.
2. Royal Mail cannot bring a label with them as there is no link with EBay to print it. Went to PO. They would not print the label. Said I need QR code. EBay hasn’t got one.
Drove to library. They only take cash to print.
Went to cash point. There is only one. 15 minute walk. Got a tenner.
Went back to library. They had no change.
Went to a printer in town. They printed the label for me. Stuck label on parcel.
Went to PO again. Twenty minute walk. PO shut. .
Started request for collection from my home online. Scanned code, as directed. Asked to put in tracking number ( label said tracked). Tried all three long numbers on label. RM rejected them. Asked to put in the id code instead. Tried all three long numbers. RM rejected them.
Decided to go to PO again., tomorrow. There is only one. There is no parking. Only a twenty minute walk . So far used up five hours. See what happens tomorrow…..
