We couldn't verify this card
I'm going to keep posting this until EBAY sort this glitch out-many people cannot pay their fees due to a glitch regarding their card details-this needs sorting NOW by Ebay they have no right withholding money due to problems THEIR end.

·yesterday at 9:19 AMI've had this issue for over two weeks now. eBay insist it's a problem with my bank but my bank have done all checks and says it's eBay. Payments on hold. Can't add or update card which I've been using for years. Can't pay £2.97 fee because card won't work. Spoke to specialist team at eBay who say it's not them it's my bank. Driving me mental. Not putting up with this any more. Closing my account and find another site.

OPyesterday at 10:43 AM · EditedIt is DEFINITELY an Ebay problem. I also spoke with my bank-LLOYDS-who also said there is no problem with the card or my account. I have used my card several times since this glitch elsewhere and it is fine. I am getting messages from Ebay politely asking me to pay my fees. When i spoke with an agent i asked them to put a note on my account stating i am trying to pay the fees but cannot due to this problem-seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I am trying to sell a small item on Ebay right now so they can take their fees from the sale-but i can't sell anything of value as they will hold my payouts becuase i cannot add a debit card for selling fees. This is not just an isolated incident-lots of people are having the very same issue.

OPyesterday at 12:09 PMThose links do not help at all-even if i needed to update account settings-adding a new payment method for selling fees is not accepted-that is what the problem is-not settings but card verification is what is not working. It is NOT the banks issue-it is NOT the cards issue-it is an Ebay glitch not allowing verification of VALID debit cards-the same ones that have been linked to our profiles, with valid addresses and valid UK banking details.

OP2 weeks agoIt is the same bank account i have used on there for years-and it is also the same debit card used succesfully since issued-i sell often and buy often-based in the UK my whole life-never had a problem before it is a definite glitch in their system. I spoke to a chat guy and he suggested i try again in 48 hours-but i have listings ending before then and will not get paid as they will withhold until i've paid my seller fees-which i cannot do due to this 'verification error'. Unbelievable.

OP2 weeks agoIt's not payments held as such-the problem is i cannot add my debit card details to pay seller fees-if i can't pay seller fees then they will withhold any payments i make through a sale-whenever i try to add a debit card-exactly the same one used all the time by the way-it says it cannot verify it-a quick search on here shows plenty more people in the same boat-not having their cards accepted as payment options when previously being accepted. It's appalling-they want me to make a payment but will not accept my valid debit card or bank payment when i try that option-i can't even pay any other way-even Paypal would be nice.

OP2 weeks agoNope-still won't work. I click PAY NOW-it asks for payment options-only gives me Add New Debit Card-no other payment options available-so i add my debit card details (which have ALWAYS worked) and it still says unable to verify. No other payment options to see.

OP2 weeks agoSpoke to an agent they said give it 48hrs to try again-cleared cache-tried removing original bank details but it says i have to add a new payment method first-guess what-i CAN'T as it won't bloody verify.
