Unable to use eBay balance to buy items
Summary: farnsworth6346 reported an issue with using their eBay balance for purchases, despite having a sufficient balance. They successfully bought items previously but found the option greyed out during a later attempt, forcing them to use a bank card instead. shabi_1931 and networking-2003 also experienced similar issues, while sml192 suggested that certain discount coupons may require a card payment.
Hello - system working well yesterday (Saturday) morning - bought two jigsaws using my eBay balance - tried to buy further two on the evening (now lost one as sold in the meantime - today, Sunday) - and opted for payment by eBay balance but confirmation button is greyed out and has a "no entry" red circle when I click on it. I have a highish balance so purchase value is well covered. Managed to buy the second jigsaw used a bank card as i unticked the eBay balance option. So what is the point of eBay balance if I cannot use it ? Anyone experiencing similar issues

eBay balance has a few limitations, as in you cannot pay for items listed in certain categories, items that are not covered under our money back guarantee, but since it is a jigsaw, it should be alright. However, you still have limits that you cannot go over in 24 hours, or in a month, or maybe you had multiple attempts, etc. If you click here, you can see all of them

·2 weeks agoI have the same issue.... I Have a balance that exceeds what I want to buy, but option greyed out and had to use payment by card.

·2 weeks agoAre you using any discount coupons with the purchase? There is one currently that specifically requires a debit or credit card to be used.
