Sold - Wait To Post
Summary: upt_hearse69 raised an inquiry about encountering a new eBay feature labeled as "Paid - Wait To Post," which creates a delay before printing labels. closetclearout2023 explained that this feature allows buyers time to purchase additional items for combined postage. Some users, like jonatjonatjonat, noted it offers benefits for buyers wanting to consolidate orders, while others, including deedeedaydee2, toolblend, and oliverwalters23, expressed frustration, calling it complicated, pointless, and annoying. Several members desire an option to disable it.
Good morning, eBay Community!
Just recently after I have Sold an item I get the message saying “Paid - Wait To Post” and I have a few hours to wait until I can print a label and post the item.
Is this new and has anybody else had this situation? I’d appreciate any response or advice.
Thanks!

·4 days agoI lost a days simple delivery, a lady bought a item at 6.30 pm, and I could not arrange delivery till 9.30 pm. the royal mail have a cut off point for simple delivery at 9 pm, and had to wait till the day after, as postie is unwilling to collect parcels, unless they have a postage label as sometimes , they get lost, then I get the blame for late delivery, there should be a cancel button for this carry on.

·1 week ago · EditedIt's yet another complicated, pointless ebay "feature".
It adds code complexity, making bugs more likely.
It essentially adds a delay between purchase and shipping.
And judging by the posts on the forums, it is neither wanted nor understood.
It also means, the number of Active items you are selling will decrease, but you won't get an email about the item being sold yet. Confusing.
ebay needs to do less, better.
Instead they do more, worse.

·1 month agoIt's a new option. Gives buyers an optional window to buy more than 1 item and allows you to merge the orders together or something.
It's optional though and you can just go ahead and print the order anyway.
However, from my view as a buyer - if I want to buy more than one item from the same seller - i have the option to checkout multiple items at the same time for one postage costs. As a seller, if someone buys items individually - they are clearly shown they will be charged a separate postage cost for each order. if they make the assumption that the orders will be sent together and they get money back - that's on them and it very much is an assumption.
