I’ve sold my private registration plate. The money is being held by eBay until I post the ‘item’. The buyer has given me his name and address for me to fill out on the v750. My question is if I post this, could the seller not just claim that they haven’t received it and would get a refund and I wouldn’t get payment but he would then have ownership of the plate? How do you get around this if you need to send an ‘item’ and the seller needs to confirm they have received it in order for me to receive payment ?

·1 week ago · EditedAs long as you send it using the ebay postage label so the tracking is on ebay and it shows delivery to the address the buyer has registered on their ebay account they cannot win a "not received" case. Also ebay's Simple Delivery postage covers sellers for loss or damage in transit.

OP1 week agoOkay thank you do I need to take pictures of the v750 form with his details on etc to ensure they don’t claim they just received a blank piece of paper etc?

·1 week agoThere's always a risk if a buyer sets out to deceive. ebay Simple Delivery postage does NOT cover the seller of a V750 document but if it's a normal buyer the tracking showing delivery would stop them for making false non-receipt claims.
If the buyer has said something to make you worry you always have the option of cancelling/refunding the transaction, via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list.
