Payment Issue re Selling an Item

Good morning, eBay Community.

I have an issue for which I am hoping you may help me with.

When I list an item for example £9.99, when it is Sold & Paid for I receive £9.24 from eBay and not the full £9.99. It seems like I am being charged £0.76 for the Buyer Protection fee.

Can anybody enlighten me please? Thanks.

Whatever price you choose during the listing process ebay will add on the buyer protection fee. If you are trying to keep the end price the buyer sees to a certain price ("Buyer will pay") then the fee will come out of that. So you want the buyer to see £9.99 and are selecting that price as what the "buyer will pay" the fee will be subtracted from that. But if you put in £9.99 as starting bid or BIN ebay will add the fee the buyer will see £10.79.
