Wrong courier delivered parcel
Summary: fennybentley is facing an issue where a parcel was mistakenly sent using Royal Mail instead of Evri, resulting in a charge to receive it. They contacted the seller, who directed them to eBay for resolution. tobiasd4 suggests refusing the charge and opening a 'not received' case. *vyolla* advises contacting eBay directly, providing guidance on how to reach their customer service for assistance.
I bought a item and the seller used evri simple delivery. I got a card from royal mail to say they had a parcel for me but it had a charge to pay. I went to get the parcel and because it should have been sent via evri I was charged. I sent all the info to the seller but basically was told I had to claim myself as because they had dropped at parcel shop and used simple delivery it was ebays problem. There is no link for a claim on my purchase history as I have the items so not lost or damaged etc. Is it up to me to sort? Really not happy with this.

Mentor3 weeks agoI'd contact eBay and tell them what's happened. Really, they should be dealing with this if the item was sent via their Simple Delivery.
I’ve found that the best route to contact eBay Customer Services is via the link below where you can call them or request a call back if you’re using the app (if you’re using desktop you’ll need to go round the houses with AI and start a chat then keep typing ‘agent’ until you get the option to live chat with a CS rep or to have a call back):

Mentor3 weeks agoThere is no dispute about postage that ebay will deal with.
You could have refused to pay & then opened item not received case.
This happens when PO accepts RM & Evri parcels, sometimes they get put in wrong bag.
