Won a bid and paid for it but the seller says he broke the item
Hello, I won a bid and even paid for an item but the seller just messaged saying he broke the item while packaging. What should I do?

·4 months agoYou don't need to do anything - the seller should sort this out.
You could prompt them by sending a message saying that, as they can no longer send the item you bought, you expect a refund to be processed immediately.
if they don't cancel and process a refund, you may have to wait until the item is overdue and open an 'item not received' case.

OP4 months agoThank you so much for your response. The seller actually messaged me asking to cancel the order at my end. The seller only broke one of the pieces from the entire set. Is there a way I can ask them for a partial refund and ship the rest of the iten.

·4 months agoThey want you to request a cancellation so they avoid a defect on their account.
You could ask them to refund you in full and then relist the item, minus the broken piece, at a lower price.
