Why is my buyer able to ask me for a refund when I've posted the item?
Can anyone help? I sent an item abroad to Germany and it was posted via the eBay Global Shipping Hub in the UK. I can see from the tracking that delivery was attempted in Germany but the recipient was not in to receive it. Now they have requested a refund through eBay and I'm expected to refund them. Can anyone help with this as I don't understand why I am being held responsible for both UK and German post! Also does Seller Protection no apply here!

If it's item not received then your seller protection comes from tracked delivery to the UK GSP hub.

OP5 months agowas attempted to the buyer in Germany on the 24th Jan but they weren't at
home to receive it. I am not sure where to go from here... contacted Ebay
customer services and they put me through to a GERMAN speaking agent... I'm
going round in circles here!

It's definitely an item not received case?
