WHY HAS MY CARD BEEN CHARGED ?
I advertised 2 items of furniture as Ebay states no fees, & free to advertise.
I have not sold on Ebay for years.
Why have I been charged £10 ?

Mentor10 months agoEbay does not say NO FEES, you are supposed to check what you are agreeing to before submitting a listing.
You click agreeing to the fees shown above, and optional extras are never free.

Mentor10 months agoFor the plan chest, because you set a reserve price.
Basic listings are free, but optional features including a reserve price have to be paid for.
Reserves are epecially expensive, and payable whether or not the item sells. Next time, think about starting the listing at the minimum price you would be willing to accept. It achieves much the same, and is cost-free.
You will find eBay's fees for private sellers clearly explained here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822&st=3&pos=1&query=Fees%20for%20private%20sellers&intent=seller%20fees&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1456

·10 months agoYou used a reserve and reserves have a non-refundable fee of 4% of the reserve price.
When you list, you are offered the choice of setting a reserve but it does say this is 'optional' and a 'fee applies'.
When you click on the information icon, it states again there is a fee, 'This is the lowest price you're willing to sell an item for. A non-refundable listing fee, charged when the listing goes live, applies whether or not the item sells.'
