Why has eBay changed listings so you have to use simple post
Why has eBay changed listings so you can only send items on simple post at £2.72 when the item can go at letter rate. I now have to list the item in an inappropriate listing that still allows me to customise the postage. Noticed a large drop on the views as it is not in the right listing area.

OP1 week agoRe John1297576 reply. I am listing postcard size photographs of railway engines which sell in units of 1 up to 8. All are under 100gms and well under £20 in value. i was posting them at letter or large letter rate - well below the £2.72 of simple post. The listing was in Collectables, Transport collectables, railwayana, paper railwayana photographs. Now this must be £2.72 simple delivery. If i list them in postcards or photographic images then i can customise the postage. What is the difference between a postcard and an postcard sized photograph when it comes to posting?

Mentor1 week agoIt's true that sometimes the category does not show the exact item being sold.
However, for you to receive custom postage you must use the category for your item the postcards / photographic images, to bring up custom postage.
The first 4 words of your main title are the most important, those are the ones buyers use to find items. Maybe rearrange your titles , perhaps starting with Railway Photographs of.... and not 10 Photographs of.....

What you are selling so long as you use the correct categories are exempt.
