why dont you give/refund my money you took off my bank account??
Summary: piu_kyaw reported an issue where money was deducted from their bank account without a successful item purchase on eBay. They attempted to buy an item, but the transaction failed, and yet they noticed a debit entry on their bank statement allegedly from eBay. Despite reaching out to eBay and providing a screenshot as requested by an eBay agent, they have not received a refund. papso22 suggested that the purchase might have been as a guest and advised addressing the issue with the bank. piu_kyaw confirmed they were logged in during the purchase attempt and are seeking resolution both from eBay and their bank, who mentioned needing to liaise with eBay.
On 25-06-2026, money was taken off my bank account with out any items bought at all..!!!!
i tried to buy an item of a job lot, so on the check out page i tried but the transaction failed out
yet money was enough to buy it on the account.
so the following days i found money taken off by " EBAY O*19-14560-70757 GB 9101 FPI: ", and there was no item indicated in the purchase history bought by me.
I reached out to ebay, and one of the agent chat with and asked me to send a screenshot of which she game me a link to attach it and promised to my issue. but up to now my money is not returned. Whyyyyyyy?

Mentor3 months agoYou are based in Uganda and this is the UK site. Best to address this issue to the USA International www.ebay.com site with added help from their Community Centre.

Did you get an email from ebay after paying?

OP3 months agoI was logged in because eBay can not let you continue to check out when you are not logged in. Secondly, I did not get any message from eBay.
What I saw is a red words saying that the transaction has failed

Mentor3 months agoYou can checkout while not logged in, that is what buying as a guest means.
If there is no purchase but there has been a payment, you should take it up with your bank.

OP3 months agoAt the look of the bank account statement, it shows that money was deducted by eBay.
But still I have already engaged the bank as well. And they say , they have to engage eBay too
