Why does Ebay allow chinese sellers to avoid UK sale of goods act.
Item that are clearly Chinese based seller apparently are allowed to flout UK law by Ebay.
It appears that if an item is listed as being located in Birmingham - has a Union Jack in the photos & offering 5 year warranty you would think it was a UK based company. WRONG
Ignoring all UK laws you only get with Ebay a 3 month warranty of money back.
They will not even give you the uk name and address so cannot make a claim or even issue proceedings.
However - when you make a payment you effectively pay Ebay so legally can they be considered the seller for claims under Sale of Goods Act
Is Ebay complicit in flouting UK laws?????

Mentor8 months agoChinese sellers are NOT claiming to be in UK.
A lot of them have UK warehouses, if you check seller location it says where they are based.
Ebay MBG is only for 30 days, not sure why you think you get 3 months.
Ebay MBG is in addition to your consumer rights, but ebay won't help with those.
