Why do we pay buyer protection fee??
Summary: tightandtalented_3 expressed frustration about a buyer protection fee after a £150 item was delivered to the wrong address, with a photo proving it wasn't theirs. They sought advice on next steps, as eBay refused a refund due to tracking showing it as delivered. papso22 suggested pursuing a claim through the funding source, noting it's a money-back guarantee issue, not related to the buyer protection fee.
Is there any point to buyer protection fee?
I recently bought an item-£150 spent and it was delivered to the wrong address by Royal Mail.
The proof of delivery photo provided clearly shows the parcel placed inside a letter box on a door that isn't mine but Ebay have refused to refund me as the parcel tracking shows as delivered.
I've posted the photo in some local area pages on Facebook but nobody has been able to identify the address.
I'm just curious as to what,if any next steps are open to me?

Mentor2 weeks agoEbay go by tracking, they never investigate if door is yours or not.
No point having POD if no one believes it.

This is a money back guarantee issue, nothing to do with the buyer protection fee.
