Dear eBay Customer Support / eBay Appeals Team,
I am writing to formally complain about the repeated removal of my listings for items that appear to be permitted on eBay and are currently being advertised and sold by other sellers, including sellers based in the United States.
I fully understand that eBay has policies and restrictions that sellers are expected to follow, and I am willing to comply with those policies. However, I am extremely concerned about what appears to be inconsistent enforcement of those rules.
My listings have been removed despite the fact that I can find identical or substantially identical items being listed and sold by other eBay sellers, particularly sellers operating from the United States. In some cases, the other listings appear to use very similar descriptions, photographs, product information and/or item titles to those used in my listings.
This raises an important question: If these items and listings are prohibited under eBay's policies, why are other sellers allowed to continue selling the same products?
If there is a specific policy or restriction that applies to my listings, I would appreciate a clear explanation of:
The exact eBay policy that my listings allegedly violate.
Which specific part of each listing is considered to be in breach.
Why identical or substantially identical items are apparently permitted for other sellers.
Whether the difference is related to the seller's location, country, account status, category, shipping destination, or another factor.
What I need to change in order for my listings to comply with eBay's requirements.
Whether my listings can be manually reviewed by a member of the relevant policy or compliance team rather than being removed automatically.
I would also ask eBay to explain whether its policies are applied differently to sellers in different countries. If an item is prohibited from being sold by UK sellers but permitted for US sellers, I would like eBay to provide the relevant policy and explain the reason for that distinction.
I am not asking for preferential treatment. I am asking for consistent, transparent and fair enforcement of eBay's policies.
It is particularly frustrating to have listings repeatedly removed without receiving sufficient information to understand exactly what is wrong, while seeing the same products continuing to be sold by other sellers. This makes it extremely difficult for me to operate my business and to know what steps I need to take to remain compliant.
I would therefore appreciate this complaint being escalated to the appropriate team and my account and removed listings being reviewed manually.
Please provide a specific response addressing the points above rather than a generic reference to eBay's selling policies.
I am happy to provide examples of my removed listings alongside links or item numbers for comparable listings that remain active, so that eBay can investigate the apparent inconsistency.
I look forward to receiving a clear explanation and a fair resolution.

In all that complaint no mention of what you are trying to sell is made so no one here is any wiser.
There is a list of restricted items, it might be worth reading, as rules can vary from country to country, especially the USA where many things can be sold which would not becallowed to import into the U K.

Mentor3 weeks agoWe are not eBay but a couple of things immediately sprint to mind.
Is the item in question (you don't say) restricted to say just business sellers?
You state that the item is for sale in the US, but this is the UK we may have different legislation which prohibits you listing the item.
Without knowing what the item is we cannot help further.
