Why can I not cancel/void shipping for an item I have sold
Can anyone help please. I have sold an item which had standard tracked delivery with Evri on it. I have
since found out that the item weighs more than 2 kgs which is the limit for the postage. Ebay system
will not let me cancel or void the postage. What is my best course of action please?

Mentor2 weeks agoebay say if you used the recommended parcel size when listing your item and it exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. Just go ahead and use the Simple Delivery postage label. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service.
But you may be able to change the size by clicking on Get Prepaid Label and under the heading Package details click on the pencil icon and you should get: "No extra charge. Changing your package size won’t cost you anything." Then use the dropdown menu to change dimension or weight.
If none of the above applies cancel/refund the transaction with the buyer's agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list) and relist with correct postage for the buyer to buy and pay again. The alternative to that is to buy the postage yourself.
