Why am I receiving this message
Summary: gabrba_5184 received a notification about the UK digital sales reporting law, which requires sellers meeting certain thresholds to provide their National Insurance number. However, they believe there is a discrepancy as their sales are only just above £150, far below the stated threshold. They express willingness to update their information if necessary but are questioning the logic behind this situation.
We're getting in touch to let you know about the UK digital sales reporting law. This law requires marketplaces like eBay to collect and report seller information if you meet one of these thresholds: 30 or more sales, or sales exceeding £1707 in a calendar year.
Since you've reached this threshold, please update your account by providing your National Insurance number.
I have not in a million sold this amount . Only had just above £150. I have no problems in adding my details because this has been done previously but I’m trying to find a logic in this
Please advise

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you have sold more than 30 items in the calender year then you will have breached one of the thresholds. They are mutually exclusive, you only have to exceed one.
Provided you are only selling your unwanted personal items you will have no tax liability and can use a private ebay account.
