Summary: 428429inc shared their experience with bidding on items after primarily buying outright on eBay. After winning a bid on a pair of boots, they received an unsolicited message offering a similar product at a discount, raising concerns about whether sellers can see which items they view. papso22 clarified that sellers cannot see what a user has looked at, but eBay can send offers on a seller's behalf.
Hello new to bidding for Items, (Have used Ebay for years just to buy outright) I have only recently bid on 2 items more or less Identical items, I lost the first (learning Curve) I won the 2nd item after learning ,Great, Super, Magic, bully bulls eye got a prize 🤣. However after my succesfull bid and paying ,all went great, just waiting for the Post Man. I then I got a message from "gobbldegoopxyz" (made up name by me) offering me a similar 2nd hand product different size at a discount if i buy now, (Altberg Boots) what the heck is going on , I never enquired or bid for that product, But i did look at it (didnt save it in anyway) to gain info about the product in general . Can sellers see if i look at something ? Cant think of any other reason
