Where is my refund money?
The seller issued a 20% compensatory refund and EBay emailed me to tell me that they had issued the refund of £2.34 which I should receive I 3-5 working days. It has now been 7 days and I’ve not received it.

Mentor3 weeks agoWhy did you only get 20%? Why was any refund made?

OP3 weeks agoIt was a compensatory refund because the functionality of the item was compromised.

Mentor3 weeks agoIt may take a bit longer but if ebay have sent notification then it is on its way. It will return to the source of the original payment.

OP3 weeks agoOk thanks. That’s reassuring.

Mentor3 weeks agoThat 3 - 5 days notification is very misleading as with many eBay messages which truly need a good rewrite.
It depends on the method you used to pay as to how quick you'll receive your refund.
If you paid with PayPal it goes back to your PayPal account fairly swiftly.
Paying with a debit / bank card? Can take up to 12 days to appear back in your bank account.
Credit card payment? This takes the longest, up to 30 days to appear back in the card account used.

OP3 weeks agoThat’s helpful. I guess I’ll just have to wait, as I paid with a credit card. Thanks for your help.
