When is selling an item 'unusual activity' on an account?
Summary: craggs987 expressed concern about receiving an email from eBay stating unusual selling activity on their account, which led to a hold on payouts. This notice coincided with their first sale in months. Although the transaction was completed successfully, the unexpected email caused some confusion.
Hi
A split second before an email notification arrived to say that I had sold an item I received an eBay email titled ' Important changes to your payouts'.
The contents started with "We've detected unusual selling activity on your account. Funds from your sales will become available for payout 2 days after delivery confirmation of the item."
I haven't sold anything in months, so was the fact that I'd just sold something enough to generate this 'hold' on payouts'?
The transaction went through perfectly and I have now got the money, but the email 'threw' me somewhat...
Thanks
