What does it mean by "Your buyer has reached out about their order" ?
What does it mean by "Your buyer has reached out about their order" when my buyer hasn't even contacted me about their order they purchased from me? On the ebay app in the messaging section between buyer and seller at the bottom of the last message in a grey box, it has the letter "i" in a blue circle and then says "Your buyer has reached out about their order. Since you used Simple Delivery, we'll work with your buyer directly on any delive..." and that's all it says in the grey box.
There's no dispute between me and the buyer so what is the buyer supposed to have reached out about?
Any ideas?
And is there any way to resolve this if there is some sort off dispute or is it a fault with ebay's messaging service?
Hope someone can tell me and explain.
Thanks.

Mentor10 months agoIt’s a silly message, and eBay need to try harder to ensure it doesn’t keep appearing.
It should only appear in my view if the buyer actually has a problem with item damaged or not received. Then if the buyer has opened a case the message would be pertinent.

OP10 months agoIt seems like every single buyer I message about their order, after I message them, that "Your buyer has reached out about their order" message appears in the message box between the buyer and myself so they can't all have an issue with their purchase from me. None of them have attempted to message me back about their order and none of them have left feedback about their order either so I am thinking this is more of a technical error with the website than an issue with every buyer that buys from me.
I hope ebay sorts it and I wish buyers would respond back and not ignore my messages.

Mentor10 months agoThis is one of the most baffling of messages, as it does appear when either seller or buyer sends a message.
It does Not mean the buyer has ' reached out' , so you can ignore that message it means, well it has no meaning !

Mentor11 months agoWith simple delivery if item is lost or damaged in transit ebay refund the buyer themselves and the seller keeps the payment. The item is not returned.
In this case it sounds like the buyer contacted ebay direct rather than open a claim.

OP11 months agoIt shows from the tracking information though that the items (the vests I messaged about recently that I posted separately) have all been delivered so if they have all been delivered and the buyer has received them, then what issue does the buyer have with them?

OP11 months agoI can't imagine all three packages could've arrived damaged. I always ensure all my items are securely and well packaged. He's not made any attempt to contact me about them if any or all have arrived damaged and he's not replied back to my message from yesterday either yet.
