What do I do about receiving a fake item?
I purchased a bottle of skin toner from a seller of which I already have an original bottle. What he has sent me is clearly a counterfeit product, I’ve appealed it to eBay and they’ve just rejected it, I’d there anything else I can do?

Mentor5 months agoSuggest you read the money back guarantee, you do not get refunds by going direct to ebay, you open a not as described case, seller should then supply a return label and on return refund in full.
Only if seller does not respond, do you then escalate to ebay.
Reporting a fake to ebay is just a waste of time, as they never see the item, and are not wuslified to judge based on the photograph, which in any case could be of a genuine item.
You should also leave negative feedback and mark down star ratings.
Keep fb brief, something like “unsatisfactory transaction” says it all. Saying too much may allow seller to ask ebay to remove the fb.

Mentor5 months agoDid you actually open a return? If not and it's still within 30 days of delivery you can start that on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Item doesn't match description" and if necessary escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

Mentor5 months agoAs it's a fake I don't think lack of box is a problem. The seller shouldn't be selling it anyway. I would go ahead with the return.
