What am I doing wrong ref listing?
Summary: om_mani_padme_hum is experiencing difficulties listing an item on eBay despite multiple attempts and troubleshooting steps such as clearing caches and disabling ad-blockers. tressygirl suggests that if the account was dormant, eBay might flag it as potentially hijacked, halting new listings. They recommend verifying eBay Managed Payments and possibly contacting eBay Customer Services, though note that speaking with an agent can be challenging.
Over the last three hours I have tried 6 times to list the same item ( a book on a castle on the Glamorgan coast) but as soon as I get to the section - list item, save for later or preview - I cannot progress. I have tried all three, even though I only want to list. I have cleared caches, restarted my laptop and turned off ad-blockers but to no avail. There are no flags being thrown up when I check the draft listing. I have listed hundreds of items on Ebay over the decades. But this really is winding me up.

Mentor3 months agoHave you returned to selling after a little break?
Sudden selling activity on a dormant account, raises red flags to eBay as it could be a sign that the account is being hijacked, so they may put a halt on listings until you can verify you are the genuine owner returning to sell.
Check that you have registered for eBay's Managed Payments correctly, that a bank account is registered and verified with micro deposits sent and confirmed back, this so you can receive payouts from sales.

If there is still an issue you may need to verify your details with CS.
Contacting eBay Customer Services is not easy nowadays to get a live agent , but some have had success using the app, otherwise keep typing in ' I wish to speak to an agent' and this too can work.
Use this link to contact CS, if you can try at 8 a.m. on a weekday morning also more chance there for Dublin to answer.
