Weird payment dispute within minutes of order being placed.
Hoping I can get some help with this one...
A buyer placed an order this morning - not huge - and within minutes of placing and paying for the order they filed a payment dispute through their payment provider saying that they do not recognise the transaction. It gives me 2 choices on the payment dispute - Accept and refund, or challenge. If I accept and refund then I've given away the money and will still have the order showing as not dispatched. If I challenge it I have to provide tracking number, which clearly I cannot as the order was only placed minutes ago. This has all the hallmarks of some sort of scam. The monies involved are not huge and I'm guessing that's what the buyer is banking on, that it's too much bother to sort so. Anyone else have any experience of this and any ideas how to sort this without me losing my funds?

I'd accept and refund as you haven't sent the item out, and will incur a £16.00 fee if you don't.
You can cancel the order.
